Keep a Sock Basket!
How many of you have lost socks in the wash and end up with un-matched socks everywhere!? Well here's a solution.... every time you do laundry match all your socks, the few extras with out mates throw in the "sock basket" or for us, sock bag. Every time you do laundry you will do this, dump out your sock basket and do a matching session... I find at least ONE match! All the rest go into the bag or basket until the next load of laundry is ready.
I have no idea how much money I have saved doing this... but I know I have saved!
